Skiff Reader to Be Featured in CES 2010

Skiff Reader

As the upcoming in Las Vegas is expected to have a plethora of e-book readers on display, one product that has been gaining attention before its official launch is the Skiff Reader, which claims to be the first of its kind that is optimized for newspaper and magazine content.
The Skiff Reader measures 0.25 inches in thickness, weighs a bit over one pound, and has a large 11.5-inch e-paper display with 1200 x 1600 pixels resolution and intuitive touchscreen navigation.  That's about two inches bigger than Amazon's Kindle DX, not to mention it has a very thin bezel.  Additionally, its e-paper display is the first to be based on a flexible sheet of stainless-steel foil from LG Display instead of traditional glass that is fragile and easy-to-break.
This ebook reader will be connected to Sprint via 3G, although it can also support wireless connectivity through WiFi.  Sprint will also sell the Skiff Reader within the 2010 in its authorized retail locations and on sprint.com.  Pricing, as well as the publications available, will be announced at a later date.
